Maine Senior FarmShare

Fresh Maine produce, at no cost to eligible older adults.

Maine Senior FarmShare provides a $50 share of local fruits, vegetables, fresh herbs, and honey from participating Maine farms during the growing season. Eligible Maine residents can use their share at a participating farm or farmers’ market.

Enrollment update: Applications for the 2026 season closed September 1, 2026. Enrollment for the 2027 season is scheduled to open June 1, 2027. Check Maine’s Senior FarmShare page for the latest information.

Who can participate?

You must live in Maine, meet the program’s income guidelines, and be:

  • Age 60 or older
  • Age 55 or older if you are Native American, or
  • Age 18 or older with a disability and living in qualifying housing primarily occupied by older adults where congregate meals are provided
For 2026–2027, the annual gross household income limit is $29,526 for one person or $40,034 for two people. See income limits for larger households. Shares are limited, so meeting the requirements does not guarantee one.
